The box office for "Young Frankenstein," that is. Tickets to the new Mel Brooks musical go on sale today at the Hilton Theatre (213 W. 42nd St.

) at 10 a.m. A seat at the eagerly awaited show will set you back $50 to a whopping $450 - an astronomical sum that could make Igor's eyes pop even wider.

This morning there will also be a lottery for $25 front-row orchestra seats to performances during the show's first two weeks. The lottery will continue throughout the run of "Young Frankenstein." There will also be a limited number of $120 prime seats, which management held back when tickets went on sale online and by phone in July.

Producer Robert Sillerman said that move was "to protect those consumers who prefer purchasing at the box office." Sales have been brisk for "Young Frankenstein," which got some warm notices in its out-of-town run in Seattle. Theater fans are eager to see if Brooks and his team behind "The Producers" can make lightning strike again.

A big crowd is expected to turn out at the box office, where 30 police barricades were set up yesterday. Ticket buyers are advised to get in line well before 10 a.m.

Early birds get the worm - and the monster.
