the prolific record producer. The album is a mixed bag of collaborations with several artists including Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Fall Out Boy and Elton John. We asked the Review Crew if they were shocked.
Do you believe there's life on other planets? for track 2, "Give It to Me," with Nelly Furtado. But it's all over the radio, so then again!
Timbaland should have stayed being a producer only! He is not a rapper. He is horrible at it.
I am sure that's why he featured every possible hip-hop and pop name out there on his new CD, including one of the biggest hip-hop names: Dr. Dre. But it does not cover up the fact Timbaland failed as a rapper.
I always admired his beats and the songs he produced for others, but this album made me kind of laugh. He needs to stick to what he knows best or try another avenue. His Timbaland and Magoo days are over.
If you're going to get this album, put "Give It to Me" on repeat. With "Shock Value," Timbaland perfects what Sean Combs and Jay-Z practice by producing a crowd-pleasing, hip-hop album with a collection of duets featuring "so-hot-right-now" artists Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake and Fall Out Boy. However, like a true producer, Timbaland carefully features such new talent as Keri Hilson, who might rise to stardom with the popularity of "The Way I Are.
" It's a catchy techno-edge love tune which has the potential to become one of this summer's most in-demand club tracks. The best part about distinctly different sound.
