Report: John Cleese selling Santa Barbara ranch for $28 million

John Cleese and his wife are selling their sprawling Santa Barbara County horse ranch for $28 million, a newspaper reported. The nearly 16-acre spread in Montecito is called Stalloreggi, or "King's Stables." It boasts a 16,000-square-foot barn, Mediterranean-style main home with three bedrooms and four bathrooms, a view of the Santa Ynez Mountains and a swimming pool.

Cleese and his wife, Alice Faye, who have another home in the area, bought the place in 1999, the Los Angeles Times reported. Cleese has said they keep horses and also a menagerie of animals that include llamas, alpacas, an emu, chinchillas and nearly a dozen cats. Cleese is best known as a member of the Monty Python comedy group.
