DELTA Goodrem says domestic bliss with lover Brian McFadden has inspired her upcoming album and the sexy new winter collection for her lingerie line.
The chart star has been in Los Angeles for a fortnight, recording and looking for a home for the couple in the Hollywood Hills. Goodrem said she had almost finished her third album and had co-written several songs with her Irish beau of more than two years.
She said the new offering marked a departure from her previous album, 2004's Mistaken Identity.
It's a lot lighter ndash; I'm not so angry, she laughed.
I've been enjoying life and doing normal things and relaxing ndash; Brian and I love watching Grey's Anatomy.
I am more than excited about releasing music again.
The 22-year-old said decorating the new home she and McFadden, a solo singer after leaving chart-topping group Westlife, shared in London had influenced her colour schemes for the winter range of her lingerie line Delta by Anabella.
We took some of the colours of what we were doing ndash; a lot of beiges and whites and creams, she said.
Bruno Schiavi, who is the label's co-creator, said Goodrem's translation of global trends into lingerie loveliness was impressive.
If Delta was just based in Australia, I think it would have been pretty hard to come up with some of the designs that we have, Bruno said.
While Kylie Minogue and Elle McPherson have happily stripped to their smalls to promote their own underwear ranges, Goodrem says she has no plans to model her lingerie line, which launched in 2004.
People forget I'm still quite young and I don't feel comfortable doing that ndash; I believe in mystery about people, she said. I don't do it (take my clothes off) in my music so why would I? I feel I can keep that private for a little bit longer.
Goodrem, who plans to visit Australia later this year when the album is released, said reports she and McFadden, 27, were engaged were not true.
I promise people that when, if that should happen, I will tell, she said.
I've got plenty of time.
There are so many things I want to do in life.
That includes a return to acting, with some secret screen projects in the pipeline for the former Neighbours starlet, who was last seen in two episodes of US series North Shore in 2005.
I have a great agent here in LA and there will be a couple of things coming up this year, she said.
