Web sites for shoes, shave cream and science are among Webby award winners named by New York's International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.
The Webby-winning Web sites cover a range of categories for Web site entries, plus new categories honoring online film and video, interactive advertising and mobile content, the academy said Tuesday in a news release.
In addition, more than 400,000 votes were cast by people around the world for their favorite sites, videos and ads in The Webby People's Voice Awards.
Winners will be recognized on two nights, the academy said.
The winners of Webby Film Video Awards will be honored June 4, and the Webby winners -- along with several special recognition honorees -- will be feted June 5. Both events will be emceed in New York by Rob Corddry of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Special achievement honorees include rock icon David Bowie, eBay President and Chief Executive Officer Meg Whitman and the co-founders of YouTube.
Among the winners are: HowStuffWorks; Treehugger; Nike; Sony; Facebook; National Public Radio and ShaveEverywhere.com.
Winners of Webby Film and Video Awards include NBC's "The Office Webisodes" and Eepybird.com's "Extreme Diet Coke and Mentos Experiments.
