The HALO (Honor a Loved One) fund has given community youngsters the chance to take piano lessons. Set up through Crossville First United Methodist Church and Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, HALO obtains its funding through donations given in honor or memory of whomever the donor wishes. HALO uses the funds to provide help for children in any way that's needed.
Some of the activities the funds contribute to include piano lessons, various camps (church, scouts, 4-H, etc.), after-school programs, and mother's day out programs. Students participated in a piano recital at Crossville First United Methodist Church.
Particpants included (in alphabetical order): Ashley Adams, Susanna Brown, Ellie Burnett, Sarah Carroll, Caroline Cravens, Gene Cravens, Landon Crawford, Erin Dillie, Macye Ellis, Hayley Fisher, Bethany Hale, Lauren Leggett, Olivia Lunsford, Jim Matthews, Megann Maynard, Maddie Mayo, Emily Miles, Devon Neal, Abigail Norris, Becca Patton, Leah Stephens, Chelsea Wattenbarger, and Micah White. Not pictured were teachers Ann Looney, Becky Gentry and Georgiana Upshaw.
