1. Major movie weekend. 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End' is the big release this weekend.

Also opening: Ashley Judd's thriller, 'Bug,' the romantic comedy 'Waitress' starring Keri Russell, and the French flick 'Valet.' Now might also be a good time to see 'Shrek the Third' and 'Spider-Man 3' if you haven't already. The lines will surely be shorter.


2. 'The Baroque World of Fernando Botero,' a retrospective that the San Antonio Museum of Art, 200 W. Jones Ave.

, and the Southwest School of Art and Craft, 1201 Navarro St., are co-collaborating on. The museum is showing the artist's large bronze sculptures and oil paintings, and the school is showing drawings, pastels and small bronzes.

Today's grand opening celebrations at both locations begin at 10 a.m. and are free to the public.

Besides the art, there is live music, dance, children's activities, lectures and Colombian food to enjoy.
3. Campec ne Film Festival at the Overtime Theater, 814 West Ave.

Last day of this free film festival is today. Documentaries and feature films focus on immigrant issues and the struggle for justice among immigrants and Hispanic people. Begins at 7 p.

m.
4. Festival of Flowers at Alzafar Shrine Temple, 901 N.

Loop 1604 W. This annual event has gardening seminars, demonstrations, an organic roundtable, plant and supply vendors, plant exchanges, a farmer's market, wine tasting and a floral design competition. Admission costs $5, younger than 10 admitted free.

Begins at 9 a.m. today.


5. Dance at the Library, a day of free performances presented by the San Antonio Dance Umbrella being held today. The Fire on the Mountain Cloggers perform at the Semmes Branch Library, 15060 Judson Road, at 2 p.

m. Hawaiian dance group Hula Hulau Ohan Elikapeka performs at the Thousand Oaks Branch Library, 4618 Thousand Oaks Drive, at 2 p.m.

A demonstration by Ballet San Antonio Academy is held at Reagan High School, 19000 Ronald Reagan Drive, at 7 p.m.
6.

Say S La V , a watercolor exhibit by middle and high school visual arts students who drew inspiration from urban landscapes and native flora and fauna. Originally intended for Maverick Plaza in La Villita, the opening has moved to Say S Central, 1518 S. Alamo.

Noon-3 p.m. today.

Purchases benefit student artists.
