Has Apple's "showtime" event scheduled for 10am PST today ? If so, the details are pretty exciting..
.
UPDATE: Apple , but no sign of rumored "widescreen" or "touchscreen" versions or iPhone; major changes to iTunes music store; movie downloads; and a preview of a wireless set top box set to debut early next year that will stream DVD quality multimedia from your computer to your TV.

$9.
99 for an iPod sized movie? Does anyone else think this is a bit much? When you consider most DVD's are anywhere from $14 to $24, it's not that much cheaper to download a movie that you could never play on a normal sized screen.
I think I'll be sticking to my DVD ripping software to watch movies on my iPod.

I'm not going to shove any old studio film into my TubePort.

Thank the gods the tubeport was a false rumor. 640x480 is actually higher res than a standard tv.
That new shuffle is perhaps too small.

It's not clear it streams DVD quality. Even the movies they're selling are less than DVD quality.
Apple is for suckas.

We have to boycott Apple.
The plan was to offer Path as a free download on the iTMS.
It'll be interesting to see if Apple gets into the censorship business.
