SIMMONE Jade Mackinnon will transform from a lady in red to a damsel in blue at this year's Logie Awards.
The McLeod's Daughters beauty, a Gold and Silver Logie nominee, is putting last-minute touches to her gown today, in preparation for her arrival at tomorrow's star-studded event. The petite actress performed a practice twirl in one of her favourite red gowns at Drover's Run this week, before heading down the red carpet.
I'm going to be wearing a high-necked royal blue dress with a big old train down the back, it's very classic, Nicole Kidman style, Mackinnon said.
McLeod's Daughters wardrobe assistant Meredith Goyne designed Mackinnon's gown, which will be worn with sapphire earrings and a ring from Chez Jewels.
And hair and make-up artist Craig Beaglehole will make the final touches.
Mackinnon, a first-time Gold Logie nominee, admits it will be a tough task to bring home the top honour.
I've got a chance for the silver but I think for gold it's going to be Rove, she said.
Co-star Rachael Carpani has also been nominated for TV's top award.
