It s rather a sad time we live in a time when you re wise to question the water you re about to swim in. Celebrities such as Amy Smart, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wendie Malick, and Matthew McConaughey want to change that and showed support by attending the 16th Annual Bring Back The Beach dinner put together by Heal The Bay.
Hosted by Bob Sagat, the event featured live music and a bevy of items auctioned off to raise money for the non-profit.

Heal the Bay is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds, including Santa Monica Bay, safe, healthy and clean. We use research, education, community action and advocacy to pursue our mission.
Honorees included Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, The National Geographic Society, and musician Brian Wilson.

Wilson and Jack’s Mannequin also provided the entertainment. Items auctioned off included a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid (going with an SUV-hybrid is an interesting choice ), various vacation packages, and an autographed guitar by Wilson among other goodies.
