I never saw the original Zodiac but this one was good and suprisingly really long, I think they could have shortened it up a bit, it almost felt like you were just waiting for the movie to suddenly just end out of no where. And the best part of the entire film was it all being based off real life facts and events. It was a classic detective tale with twist after twist and turn after turn making you feel like you re working the case too.
What was most obvious was that commiting a crime and getting away with it was 100 times easier in the 60 s than it is these days, and this case was never really solved even in the end there were questions with no real answers and things that didn t fit. But the film gave you a real sence of what really happend during that time period and Jake Gyllenhaal had gotten so selfless into his character that his obession he portrayed on the film with the Zodiac was so convincing you felt for himand even asked yourself what was it all for. The film will leave your head a little bogged out and tired afterward but it ll be worth it, Zodiac is a movie worthy of sitting though for a few hours.
