The angst-ridden rocker committed suicide in 1994, leaving behind wife Courtney Love and daughter Frances Bean.
As well as a doll, the Smell Likes Teen Spirit singer's face also appears on a new line of lunch boxes and a key chain that doubles as a small hip flask. The range of products are made by the National Entertainment Collectibles Association who purchased a license to use Cobain's likeness from his widow Courtney Love. It seems Love has had a change of heart regarding the use of her late husband's likeness.
Last month, the former Hole rocker slammed shoe manufacturer Dr Martens for using Cobain in an advertisement. Love branded the ad "despicable" and insisted her deceased spouse would never have agreed to it. Her representative said at the time: "Courtney had no idea this was taking place and would never have approved it.
She thinks it's outrageous that a company is allowed to commercially gain from such a despicable use of her husband's picture." The ad featured the music legend wearing black Dr Martens boots, draped in an angelic robe and sitting on a cloud. The company eventually axed the advertisement and apologised to Love for using Cobain.
