It s been a week of lots and lots of chatter about U2. First they rock Cannes with their 3d film and then Hillary Clinton starts talking about using one of their songs in her Presidency campaign but then a Pet Shop Boy speaks out against all this publicity.
It s been a big week for tour news with Ben Jones favourites Stereophonics announcing a shiny new tour, Muse revaling the support bands for their Wembley Stadium gigs and Prince asking for a tent to sleep in during his imminent stay in London. Bad news for Doc Martens as they re forced to pull their recent advertising campaign using dead rockers despite it all going fine and dandily. Courtney Love had a say in it and I reckon they all got more publicity from this little stunt.
Back to the Britrock though as we discover that two of Blur s albums were actually rubbish! We don t believe it for one second. Another shocking revelation was that a Coldplay star had split from his wife.
Everyone thought it was Chris and Gwyneth, but it wasn t. The best news though, was that 2006 s Eurovision winners Lordi are all set to move into horror movies. We can t wait.
