HE left a vapour trail of horror headlines in the wake of his visit to Sydney, but actor John Stamos turned contrite when he touched down in Los Angeles yesterday. Showing no sign of the jet lag he claimed explained away his week of wacky behaviour while on a media tour for the medical drama, Stamos returned home to Hollywood, issuing a sorry statement through his agent. Trotting out his client's travel itinerary as an excuse, his publicist, Lewis Kay said: John has been travelling extensively for the past few weeks in Greece, Egypt and Tokyo and had a difficult time adjusting to the time difference in Australia, which in turn led to many sleepless nights since his arrival.
He acknowledges that his behaviour (while in Sydney) was completely out of character during these interviews and apologises.
