Shows like O A, Imus in the morning the Howard Stern show do not cause women to be treaty badly, they do not cause people to become racists, they do not cause people to turn to lives of crime and become felons.
They are entertainment, and if you don't like it, don't listen. If you weren't listening to the show, but heard or read what was said in the media, complain to them, tell them you don't listen for a reason and you don't appreciate having to have it shoved in your face in your morning paper. Like it or not, there is a major market for this type of entertainment and I for one am sick and tired of people telling me what I should or should not find offensive.
I have my own line, if someone steps over it, believe me I will take action. I will stand up, where ever I am (except in my car, then I will remain seated) and take what ever measures necessary to reach out to the proper..

? Your opinions are as awful as your writing. Firstly, this is a terrible cliché that no respectable writer would ever use.
Secondly, it is used entirely incorrectly. This comedic device is only effective when: (1) the descriptor following “in” applies objectively to the subject and (2) when a root sound of that descriptor is another word or homonym for a word that has a meaning DIFFERENT from the primary descriptor and describes an ALTERNATIVE aspect of the subject. To give you an example of how to correctly use this device, imagine a professional athlete has his own sports talk radio show.
A promotional ad for this show would likely say that he’s “Putting the Jock in Disk Jockey”. Also, if you enjoy the classic style of play of the San Antonio Spurs you could say they put the “fun in fundamentals”. So, when you call Opie and Anthony “moronic” that is subjective and already your quip is weakened, but when the derivative of that main descriptor which you try to apply so cleverly is the actual root word of the descriptor, the irony is lost and the joke completely fails.
However, not all irony is lost because with this phrase the identity of the true moron is revealed. With this said, let me give you some writing advice, never use clichés and never write about a subject of which you know nothing. I feel safe assuming that you have never listened to more than a few minutes of the Opie and Anthony show.
If you had, you would understand the importance of the show and that they are about much much more than just sophomoric humor, although that is an aspect of the show. If you take the time to listen to the show, I would hope that you would come to appreciate the honest way in which they present and discuss important social issues. While I understand that this type of radio show may not be for everyone, there is an audience for these types of shows. The beautiful thing about our Constitution is that it is allowed. You don't have to like it, but this speech should banned is a dangerous path.
Who decides what is allowed? Like the above saying there is outrage over the O A suspension, I also believe there is outrage that Imus has been fired. Since Imus was fired from MSNBC, they have lost half of their viewership (http://nab.

id=144614). To this I say good, the company gets what they deserve for not protecting their talent. They knew what they were getting when they hired Imus, and should have gone to bat for him.
I wonder how much they've lost in revenue from sponsors not wanting to put ads on a show with only 50% of the viewers that they used to have. To not even acknowledge this fact in your article shows that you really are looking to make an irrelevant analogy in spite of the obvious differences in circumstances. Also, XM has lost sponsors because of the Opie and Anthony show comments. To fail to mention that is also dishonest.
The outrage over Don Imus was ridiculous. But do you really want to speculate that Condoleeza Rice is being treated unfairly because she is loyal to George W. Bush?
That's as phony and dishonest as Al, Jesse, and everyone else that wants to embrace even the remotest possibility of discrimination. You've done a fantastic job of ignoring facts that don't support your personal agenda. Al and Jesse would be proud!
