Sweat factor: None, but got my heart rate up.
Music: Mellow electronic beat during initial dance routine instruction.

Through the audio button on your remote, you can alternate between sexy-sounding techno, rock or hip-hop during dance routines.
I can appreciate any workout that makes squats look sexy. "Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease" (first in a series) not only turned simple movements like walking and head circles into an erotic dance, but the workout stretched and worked my muscles.

My hamstrings, neck and abdominals were sore the next day.
I wasn't quite sure what kind of instructor Carmen Electra would be, but she turned out to be easy to follow and quite entertaining. Especially with lines like: "It's definitely gonna get your heart rate up - and anyone lucky enough to be watching.

" And, "Don't be afraid to touch yourself. It's sexy." I chuckled more than once.


At first it seemed like she was counting the steps a lot, but later the counting made the dance easier to follow.
The workout consists of three dance routines. Electra starts by instructing you on the various parts of the routine before combining them into a sexy little number.


The first routine actually consists of warm-up exercises like side neck stretches, torso stretches and folding over toward the floor for leg stretches (probably what caused my hamstring soreness).
The second and third routines get a little more advanced, but aren't too intense. My only complaint with the workout was with the head rolls (which are just like they sound) in the second routine.

Slow, they're fine. But fast and to music, I got a little concerned about pulling a neck muscle or something. They looked sexy but weren't comfortable for me.


I enjoyed the third routine best because it seemed to have the most stripper elements - including butt smacking and sticking a finger in your mouth. I also felt my abs and legs working during some of the floor exercises.
Carmen Electra's DVD wasn't very intense, but it's still a decent aerobic workout with a fun twist.

I recommend it to anyone looking to spice up an exercise routine.---
