The Fox serial drama "Prison Break” will be entering its third season this fall, to be set in a prison in Panama. I guess the American prison story line was wearing a little thin, so it was a time for a change in scenery. The series stars Wentworth Miller ("Underworld”) and Dominic Purcell ("Blade: Trinity”).
With the exotic new locale comes an exotic new star. Danay Garcia only has one prior television credit to her name (an episode of "CSI: Miami”) and one movie credit (the 2006 film "Danika” starring Marisa Tomei). Her character will be Sofia, a sexy Latin local whose boyfriend played by Chris Vance is locked up with Miller’s character.
Vance’s credits include the Australian television series "All Saints” and he is an Australian actor as is Purcell. Robert Wisdom (the television shows "The Wire” and "Cracker”) and Jodi Lyn O'Keefe ("Halloween H20: 20 Years Later” and a recent appearance on the new NBC series "Raines”) will also be joining the cast for Season Three. Wisdom will play a drug lord named Lucero and O’Keefe will be a shady government operative for the Company, who according to the Hollywood Reporter, will be named Betty Crocker; I kid you not.
