Pushed back to the top, as a zip file is available.
It s that time of year, when my sinuses close up in fury, I push the bounds of allergy medicine I m legally allowed to buy because the government assumes I m running a meth lab, and my car gets covered in a thick, grainy coating of pollen. While the flowers are certainly pretty, and the breeze nice, I m terrified of staying outside too long because nature clearly hates me on this damned coast.

What better to do than crank the volume and shriek along to a totally random collection of music? (running time about 69 minutes, hehehe)

I guess part of the reason why High Fidelity is one of my favorite books and movies is because I so deeply identified with John Cusack s character: obsessive, a touch superior, and every so often riddled with feelings of doubt and defeat. He makes mixes almost for a living, both for his new love interests and for himself—recording his ups and downs in whatever pop music seems to perfectly fit the mood.

I thought I d do that for my grandpa. As I wrote before, he was something of a mystery to me, and I am indeed saddened we never really managed to connect. But without any more explanation than a track list, I ll just say these songs seem to capture everything that s been going on in my head the past few days, as I helplessly watch my family arrange a full military funeral for a man who, it turns out, was a national hero.

It feels the least I can do, lame as it may be.
