April 27, 2007 - Now that it has been that Sony is trying to woo star Tom Hanks and director Ron Howard back for their Da Vinci Code follow-up Angels Demons, the rumor mill is buzzing over how much it may cost the studio to have the two-time Oscar-winner reprise his role as symbologist Robert Langdon. According to CinemaBlend.com, the outlet that that Hanks was set to land a record payday for the pic, Sony is willing to pay Hanks a sweet $35 million to return.

"But not only $35 million, that's just what they're paying him to show up on the set," the site claims. "He may also be getting as much as 25% of the ticket sales here in the United States. Hanks could end up making as much as a massive $50 million just to make one movie.

" CinemaBlend.com adds that Angels' oft-rumored leading lady Gisele Bundchen also wants a hefty paycheck to appear in the film. "Rumor is that her agents are demanding she be paid based on her modeling price, which could mean they'll have to pay out something like $13 million to get her in the movie.

" Supermodel-turned-actress Bundchen has so far had small roles in two films, The Devil Wears Prada and Taxi.
