Commuters can expect delays through the Newhall Pass all week as Caltrans crews continue work on car-pool lanes on the Golden State (5) Freeway. The $41.6-million project covers both sides of the I-5 from the Antelope Valley Freeway to the Ronald Reagan Freeway.
The following lane closures are among those planned Monday through Thursday, but subject to change: 8 a.m. to 2 p.
m. - One lane of northbound I-5 from I-405 to the westbound Foothill Freeway connector. 9 a.
m. to 1 p.m.
- Up to two lanes of northbound 5 from westbound the 210 connector to the 14. 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. - One lane of northbound 5 from Chatsworth Street to the San Diego (405) Freeway.
9 a.m. to 3 p.
m. - One lane of southbound 5 from Brand Boulevard to the eastbound 118 connector. 9 a.
m. to 3 p.m.
- The southbound 5 connector to eastbound 118. 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. - The southbound 5 connector to southbound 405 truck bypass.
10 a.m. to 3 p.
m. - The northbound 5 connector to 405 truck bypass. 6 p.
m. to 5 a.m.
- Up to three lanes of southbound 5 from the southbound 14/5 connector to Balboa Boulevard. 6 p.m.
to 5 a.m. - Up to three lanes of southbound 5 from Chatsworth to the 118.
